Indeed, it’s true! After a lonnnngggg four-year wait, the ice skating rink makes a triumphant and very welcome return to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre for the festive season of 2023.
We’ve always loved mentioning this exciting addition to Ruxley in the past because it adds a delightful touch to our preparations for the holiday season and really helps to get everyone in the mood for Christmas.
When does Ruxley Ice Rink open?
The rink officially opens on 10th November 2023 and is open all throughout Christmas, right up until 7th January 2024. This gives you plenty of time to get your skates on and zip round this fabulous, fully covered (and REAL) ice rink.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
Prices start from just £5 off-peak and each session has a time limit of 45 minutes. You can book your session directly via the kiosk at the ice rink although it’s strongly recommended that you book your chosen session in advance – Simply visit the Ruxley Manor online shop to do so. If you follow that link, you can check availabilty and also learn about the other sessions that are available exclusively for youngsters (Little Penguins) as well as the designated “SEN” (Special Education Needs) sessions as well.
More about Ruxley
It’s fair to say that a garden centre isn’t the most likely venue for an ice skating rink, but Ruxley Manor is no ordinary garden centre and, if you’ve never paid the place a Christmas visit, then it’s high time you did – even if you hate ice skating!
The amazing staff at Ruxley miraculously transform the indoor area into a magical, Christmas kingdom that’s bursting with toys, trees, exotic decorations and twinkling lights. So, even if you don’t fancy a skate, there’s still plenty to see and do. Oh, and there’s also a ton of deliciously festive food and drinks to choose from, either by the ice rink itself or in the fabulous Food Hall.
